OUR STORY

You always wondered who Chad was.

Chad is not a business partner. Chad is not a colleague. Chad is not even a person.

Chad is our dog. A golden retriever who has been by my side since the very first day I unlocked these doors — seven years ago — with shaking hands and way too much hope.

He was lying on the floor while I unpacked the first boxes. He was sleeping under the desk when I waited, nervous, for my very first customer to walk through that door. He was there every single morning when I turned the sign to open, and every evening when I turned it back to closed.

While I stayed late folding, steaming, and rearranging — Chad was there. While I sat on this floor questioning everything — Chad was there. While I celebrated every small win this store ever gave me — Chad was there.

He never missed a day.

Seven years of carefully chosen pieces. Seven years of women and men walking out of here feeling a little more like themselves. Seven years of late nights, early mornings, and every quiet moment in between.

This store was never just a business. It was a place built on love — and Chad was proof of that every single day.

Until this year.

Our vet told us that Chad is seriously ill. And without a second of hesitation, I made the decision that I want to be fully present for him — the way he has always been fully present for me.

So Brittany & Chad is closing its doors.

Not because we failed. Not because the dream ran out. But because the one who made this place feel like home needs me now more than the store ever did.

Everything that still hangs on these racks deserves a new home. Every coat, every sweater, every piece I once believed in — chosen with care, priced with honesty, meant to be worn and loved.

If you have ever bought something here, you already know what this place meant.

If you are buying something now — thank you. You are giving seven years of this store a beautiful ending.

And somewhere, Chad appreciates it too.
